TODAY’S FORECAST: Excited
Look in the mirror and list ten things that you love about yourself. It’s not easy, is it? I bet if I asked you to list ten things you didn’t love about yourself, you could quickly come up with a list that would easily surpass the first one, right? Trust me, you’re not alone.
Why is it that we are so critical of ourselves? Do we forget that God made man in His own image and as such, we are capable of so much more than what we can see in ourselves? If the God who created the heavens and the earth thinks we are beautiful and loves us beyond compare, why do we look in the mirror and continually cringe at all our flaws? God loves us in spite of those flaws. He cared enough for us to send his own Son to die on a cross in exchange for them. While we will never be perfect, not even close, each of us is a precious life worth celebrating. God would not have created us otherwise.
Today, celebrate your goodness. Look in the mirror and see what God sees. See the creativity, see the strength, see the compassion, see the faithfulness. Admit to the loyalty and the kindness you share with others. Recognize how funny, how reliable, how intelligent you are. Make that list of 10 qualities and BELIEVE in them. Know that when you don’t live up to them that it doesn’t mean you don’t have self-worth; it just means that God in His infinite wisdom is trying to bring you closer to Him by asking you to work a little harder.
Today, celebrate the gift of YOU! God does at every moment, unconditionally and endlessly. If the Lord of Hosts thinks you’re that important, shouldn’t you?

Wow Jen — this is inspiring! It’s really hard to come up with 10 different things.. Us as mom’s are so critical to ourselves! We always place our kids first before us.. getting them what they need, before we serve ourselves. I find myself shopping for them before I would myself. I would have them something, then I will do without. I have learned through the years of raising children, tI have to start taking care of my health and find what makes me happy and just do it! Thank you for being you !!
